This is an experiment with GPT4. This is the first time I’ve had a chance to generate something longer. I chose a format of use before with GPT3 and that’s just to write a treatment for a movie. I’ve watched lots of movies in my life and I like the action thriller format so I thought I would try and generate and idea for a movie and outline the pitch, the actress that will be in the movie. The characters and I did this in about 30 minutes. My basic impression is that GPT4 is more advanced and can write more creatively and interestingly than GPT 3.5.
I expect people that are way more talented than me will be able to generate short stories, books, and movie scripts very very quickly and they will just be subject to their imaginations. Interesting times in the writing world. I’m looking forward to be able to generate the visuals of the graphics for such a treatment to augment the design of ideas. Because, that’s what this really is… generative technology is a set of tools for humans to use to create things based on large sets of data. It’s manipulation to me.
